Dearest Mimi, George and Staff, my family and I would like to express our deepest thanks for your catering services and expertise that helped create a wonderful beginning for my daughter’s marriage. This was our story: My daughter and I met George, Mimi’s husband, at one of the Houston bridal shows. We were impressed by the fact that George was so enthusiastic about his wife, Mimi Dahdouh, the owner and executive chef of Cleopatra Palace Banquet Facility & Catering. He told us how Mimi had started her business and how successful the business had become. There were so many vendors, and so many people at the bridal show, that by the time we left, we were more confused than before we arrived, but the one person that we distinctly remembered was George. My daughter had a concept of what she wanted for her reception and we were determined to make her special day exactly what she wanted. After the bridal show, in the months that followed, we interviewed several caterers. After our visit to each caterer, my daughter and I discussed our impression of each caterer, their staff and their catering options. And, every time, we came back to our impression of George, and how proud he was of Mimi. We made an appointment and met with Mimi. Before the meeting was over, we knew that we had found the right caterer for the wedding reception. Mimi was wonderful! She worked with us to help select the food and adjustments to the menus, and she was always cost conscious and helped us stay within our budget. My daughter wanted a specific type of table linens and Mimi helped us to procure the exact table linens that my daughter wanted. In fact, she had one of her vendors custom make the linens for our wedding. In the last weeks leading up to the wedding reception, Mimi kept in constant contact with us to insure that everything went perfectly. Mimi, her staff and family were so professional and courteous. Everything went so smoothly thanks to Mimi and her staff, the results were terrific. The evening was wonderful and I didn’t worry one minute about the catering. Also, about the food. It was delicious! Not only was it beautifully prepared and artistically arranged, but it was so scrumptious. All of our guests raved about the food! Food was extremely important to us for our wedding reception. Our friends and families know how adventurous we are when it came to food so we didn't want a typical carving station menu. Thank you Cleopatra Palace! The day I walked into Cleopatra Palace & met with Mimi was the day I met an angel. With my daughter out of state in Grad School & her fiancée living in the Cayman Islands, I was left with the task of putting together a wedding for them with only 3 months notice, and of course, they wanted a New Year’s Eve wedding! I have only one daughter & of course I wanted her to have the beautiful wedding she deserves, but I was also on a budget. Mimi told me that day that I was going to love her & she was right.
